Service Project: Make Fall place-mats for the Meals on Wheels program
Prep time: just enough time to print off the free printables below
Cost: the paper and printing
Duration: 15-30 minutes (depending on how much detail your kiddo likes to put in)
Lesson(s) learned: We can help those in need
Yesterday was our second LHC in the park activity. Twenty-five kids came to make autumn themed placemats for the Meals on Wheels program.
I love seeing how many kids are willing to take a break from their playing at the park to do a simple service project!
The place-mats turned out adorable!

We found our fourth place mat design at Made by Joel. It was so cute that we had to use it! Click the image below to click-through to their website.
Did you miss the event but wish you could have come? We'll be making more place-mats at our upcoming National Day of Service event on September 11th. Come find us at Skinner's Butte Park and take a moment to make a place-mat with your kids!
