Remember those lemonade stands in last week’s Warm Fuzzies? Well, the lemonade keeps pouring in service to others. Katie Smith is selling lemonade to support community service projects in her area. She’s been doing it every summer since deadly tornadoes struck her hometown in 2011. This article also has information on “Summer of Creativity” grants that kids can apply for through Youth Service America.
Children (and adults) everywhere are encouraged to do a good deed and share it at Maddy’s Mighty Minions facebook page in honor of Maddy Grayless who died June 16th of bone cancer. Maddy told her mom, “I just wanted to be able to make difference” and through that inspiration, thousands are.
