Spring Break Recap

We spent our spring break with two very fun community events. Wednesday we helped the City of Eugene Parks and Rec Department paint replacement boards for their picnic benches and Friday we played with puppies and planted flowers at the Northwest Dog Project.

PAINTING FOR THE CITY

Thirty people braved the rain and came to the City's warehouse to paint the boards which will be used as replacement boards at city parks. Kids from babies to teens had a great time slathering the wood in brown paint.

BONUS: There was a mud puddle outside, so after the activity where she got covered in paint, my little one decided to cover the paint with mud.

NORTHWEST DOG PROJECT

The Northwest Dog Project "rescues, re-homes and enhances the lives of neglected, abused and homeless dogs, while promoting responsible pet ownership in the Northwest and beyond."

When we arrived at the project, we got a lesson on dog safety. We then got to work planting flowers, coloring pictures to decorate the dog kennels, writing thank-yous to the people who run the facility, and playing with the puppies.
