Star Wars Kids' Service Party

This past weekend we were able to have an awesome celebration while still giving back. Our Star Wars Kids' Service Party at the 5th Street Public Market was a huge success thanks to all of the awesome families in our community! We were able to make 100 toiletry kits for Bags of Love to give out to members of our community, as well as making Star Wars themed coloring books for children who might not otherwise have these types of things.

While all of the kids did put in a lot of hard work helping others, they also got to have a little party for themselves. A face painter came out to paint the faces of the children as well as having the Mandalorian Mercs present to take pictures and interact with the kids. We also were able to have a raffle and we hope all the winners are enjoying what they got!

We would like to thank all of the people who have helped us in our goal of providing more ways to help the community by donating to us. We would also like to give a special thanks to the 5th Street Public Market for helping us with fundraising, as well as the Mandalorians and our lovely face painter for making the event so much fun.

If you missed our event and want to get involved we have lots of events coming up this summer that are great for all ages, such as working at the Grassroots Garden, helping with park cleanups, and library story and activity times. Also if you still wish to donate to Little Hands Can you can donate online.

We had so much fun showing all of the little ones how much fun giving back can be and we hope to see everyone again at a future event!
